Yeovil v Shrewsbury preview

Image: Jamie McAllister: Facing a late fitness test

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Yeovil and Shrewsbury at Huish Park.

Yeovil captain Jamie McAllister could return from injury to face the Shrews. The former Bristol City man has been suffering with an ankle problem that forced him to miss the win over Notts County but manager Gary Johnson believes he has a chance of being involved. The former Northampton boss is also sweating over the fitness of Dominic Blizzard who has been suffering with a hamstring injury. The ex-Bristol Rovers man was described by Johnson as their "main problem" on the fitness front. Winger Lewis Young has returned to training with his Glovers team-mates but on-loan striker Jordan Cook is still back with parent club Charlton receiving treatment on a knee injury. Yeovil currently occupy the final play-off place in League One and know three points against the Shrews would be a huge boost to their prospects of finishing in the top six. Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner will be hard pressed to make any changes. Turner watched his Shrews side take a giant leap towards League One survival with a stunning 3-0 success at home to Crawley on Easter Monday with Tom Eaves netting a hat-trick. Connor Goldson was recalled at the heart of defence for the clash after Darren Jones suffered a dislocated shoulder on Good Friday, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. Fellow defenders Cameron Gayle (hamstring) and Rob Edwards (thigh) are already struggling to play again this term, while Jermaine Grandison's recovery from a long-term hip injury is taking longer than anticipated, although he could be involved in Town's squad at Huish Park. There was good news for winger Mark Wright in Monday's success over Crawley as he stepped off the bench as a late substitute to make his first appearance in four months following a long-term knee injury.
