McCarthy hopes for return to winning ways

Wolves host Midlands rivals Coventry at Molineux on Saturday with the home side desperate to record a victory. Mick McCarthy's men were setting the early season pace in style but they have lost their last two games, against Reading and Swansea, to surrender top spot. A return to winning ways would, therefore, be welcomed by Wolves supporters amongst hopes of promotion to the Premier League. However, Coventry will not prove easy opponents as Chris Colemen's charges sit sixth in the table after a run of only one defeat in their last half a dozen games.

Attacking trio

Wolves have been handed a huge attacking boost with the return of Michael Kightly, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Chris Iwelumo. Kightly has made a quick recovery from a hamstring injury sustained in the 3-0 defeat to Reading, while Ebanks-Blake overcame medial knee ligament problems to link up with the England Under 21s. Iwelumo - who will be keen to prove his finishing credentials after his infamous miss for Scotland - returns from a three-match ban. McCarthy must also decide whether to choose Carl Ikeme or Wayne Hennessey in goal but winger Matt Jarvis remains sidelined with a hamstring problem, meaning on-loan Carlos Edwards should step in.
Eastwood boost
Defenders Jody Craddock (broken metatarsal) and Matt Hill (medial knee ligament) are both expected to return to training on Monday with the possibility of a first-team comeback next week. Fellow defender George Elokobi (anterior cruciate ligament) remains a long-term absentee. Freddy Eastwood is expected to be fit to lead the line for Coventry and the striker should make the trip, despite missing Wales' recent World Cup qualifiers with tendonitis in his ankle and knee. Defender Ben Turner continues to miss out with an ankle injury, while Coleman could decide to rest Aron Gunnarsson, who played 55 minutes for Iceland on Wednesday night.
