Albion look to build on opening display

West Brom welcome Everton to the Hawthorns on Saturday for their first home encounter since their return to the Premier League. Tony Mowbray's men must build on their credible opening display against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last week, which saw them lose 1-0, when they face the Toffees.

Boost

Midfielder Robert Koren has given Mowbray a boost as he's back in contention for the match. A knee ligament problem prevented him from playing in Albion's warm-up games this summer and he missed last week's trip to the Gunners. But he is back in the frame this weekend after resuming training with his team-mates during the week. Striker Luke Moore will also return to the squad after injury and Mowbray has to decide whether to hand summer signing Gianni Zuiverloon his debut as he has returned from Olympic duty with Holland. The former Heerenveen player has been suffering from jet lag so a decision on whether or not to involve him will be made before kick-off. Centre-back Neil Clement misses out still with a knee problem but could return after the next international break in early September.
Points
Everton will also be looking for their first points of the season after they lost 3-2 to Blackburn at Goodison Park last weekend. Boss David Moyes has yet to add to his squad ahead of the transfer deadline at the end of this month. He has been chasing a few new faces this week including Stephane M'Bia and Tiago but M'Bia's club Rennes have said they do not wish to sell him whilst Tiago rejected a move. Moyes is still without a handful of players. Tim Cahill is continuing his comeback to fitness but is not expected to return just yet following a foot injury. Steven Pienaar remains out with a broken big toe as do Tony Hibbert and Andy van der Meyde.
