Real Valladolid have been relegated from the Primera Division after a 1-0 home loss to fellow relegation battlers Granada. Stefan Mitrovic's own-goal a minute before the break settled the contest and confirmed relegation for a side who already knew their fate was not in their own hands. Valladolid pushed for goals in a second half which was delayed after part of the El Sadar stadium fencing collapsed at Osasuna's match against Real Betis, prompting all games to extend the interval, but they could not find a way through. Javi Guerra had the first effort on goal after a cagey start but fired wide from six yards before Youssef El Arabi's header at the other end brought a save from Jaime. El Arabi then missed the target with another header but it was Valladolid who had the best chance of the opening stages when Jeffren's shot from the edge of the box tested Roberto Fernandez. Guerra saw another shot go wide just after the half-hour mark before the vital moment of the game came a minute before the break. Piti played the ball into the box for Granada and Mitrovic could do nothing but turn the ball into his own net. It was desperation time now for Valladolid but a Manucho shot which brought a save from Fernandez was all they could muster at the start of the second half. Guerra came close to equalising 20 minutes from time when his shot from 20 yards was impressively tipped round the post by Fernandez and Manucho went close shortly afterwards with a header. The home side continued to attack as they searched for a vital goal but it was not to come and Yacine Brahimi had the best late chance for Granada as Jaime was called upon to block his close-range shot.
