Wissam Ben Yedder's late strike snatched a point for Toulouse at home to newly-promoted Reims.

Wissam Ben Yedder continued his impressive start to the new Ligue 1 season as his late strike snatched a point for Toulouse at home to newly-promoted Reims. Reims looked to be headed for back-to-back wins as they led late into the match thanks to an Aymen Abdennour own goal after 55 minutes. But with a minute of normal time remaining Ben Yedder volleyed home an unstoppable drive, his third of a fledgling campaign, before Reims had to cling on in injury time to preserve a point. Despite thier unbeaten start, including back-to-back wins before tonight, Toulouse were greeted by a half-full Stadium Municipal as they welcomed one of Ligue 1's new boys. Etienne Didot gave the sparse crowd reason for early cheer when he drew a save from Kossi Agassa but they were soon riding their luck when Kamel Ghilas headed against the crossbar. It was a rare Reims opportunity in a half that remained goalless despite the creativity of Ben Yedder, who saw a clever chipped shot drop narrowly over the crossbar after he raced through the defence. Etienne Capoue also saw a well-hit shot blocked by Agassa to go into half-time at 0-0. Despite being second best before the break Reims shocked Toulouse 10 minutes after the re-start, albeit with the help of their hosts, when Abdennour got just enough on a dangerous Odair Fortes cross to help it past his goalkeeper. Fortes then threatened to steal the game away as he sent Nicolas Fauvergue one-on-one with Ali Ahamada but his ambitious lob was easily dealt with. With time ticking down Toulouse's unbeaten record looked to be slipping away until Ben Yedder, who struck the winner in his side's home opener, popped up again. The Reims defence failed to clear a hopeful punt into the box, allowing the ball to bounce before Ben Yedder hammered home into the top corner. Toulouse then went for the win in injury time and Ben Yedder expertly sent Emmanuel Riviere through only for Agassa to make a fine stop to keep out a stinging drive.
