Lennon and Assou-Ekotto unavailable for Redknapp
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will be hoping to carry their impressive league form into the FA Cup as they prepare to host Peterborough.
The pair clash in the third round on Saturday with the Championship club very much the underdogs, situated 40 places below Spurs who are fourth in the top flight.
The last time the two met was in 1994 in which Tottenham needed a replay, extra time and penalties to dump Posh out of the cup and Redknapp will be hoping to avoid a similar scenario this time around.
Spurs news
Tottenham pair Aaron Lennon and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have groin problems and are ruled out, while Ledley King may be rested after he played against West Ham on Monday.
Sebastien Bassong is fit to deputise should King be benched while Jermain Defoe has a slight foot complaint but should be fit.
Posh news
Peterborough will be without midfielder Josh Simpson for the trip.
Simpson was the hero of the remarkable 4-4 draw with Cardiff on Monday after he came off the bench to score twice as Mark Cooper's men came from 4-0 down.
But the on-loan Histon man will miss out at White Hart Lane as he is cup-tied - along with on-loan Kettering centre-half Exodus Geohaghon.
Goalkeeper Joe Lewis is expected to be fit despite limping out of the second half against Cardiff with a side strain and defender Ryan Bennett should also be available after concussion.
Fellow defender Gabriel Zakuani remains sidelined with a groin strain but left-back Tom Williams is available after he returned early from a loan spell at QPR.
Dean Keates left the club by mutual consent on New Year's Eve.
