Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Torquay United and AFC Wimbledon at Plainmoor.
Karl Hawley and Callum Ball could make their debuts in the season opener against the Dons. The strike duo joined the Gulls on Thursday and are both likely to play some part at the weekend. Summer signings Dale Tonge and Krystian Pearce provide defensive options for Torquay boss Alan Knill. Fellow newcomers Jordan Chapell, Courtney Cameron and Ben Harding will battle for a place in midfield, while Elliot Benyon could feature up front. AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley takes his side to Plainmoor knowing he could hand up to 10 players their debuts. A fruitful period in the transfer window means the likes of George Porter, Charlie Sheringham and Callum Kennedy could all be handed starts on the south coast. Goalkeeper Ross Worner could also find himself on the teamsheet after being handed the number one shirt following his arrival from Aldershot. Saturday's game is likely to come too soon for trialist Rhys Weston, who is yet to agree a deal following talks with Ardley.
