No fresh worries for Martinez; Laws hopeful on Small

Swansea manager Roberto Martinez has no fresh injury worries for the home Championship clash against Sheffield Wednesday. Federico Bessone remains doubtful as he continues his recovery from a fractured rib, although the Argentine left-back is thought to be nearing a return to action. Gorka Pintado is pushing for a starting berth after scoring his second goal in three substitute appearances against Hull on Tuesday night. However, the 30-year-old Spaniard may once again have to settle for a place on the bench as he continues to work his way towards full fitness following a pre-season groin injury. Mark Gower and Angel Rangel are likely to return to Martinez's side as they go in search of a fifth successive victory in all competitions.

Owls team news

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is hoping midfielder Wade Small will return for the trip to Swansea. Small has yet to feature for the Owls so far this season due to a hamstring injury, but is working his way back to fitness and could be included in the squad. Striker Akpo Sodje will remain on the sidelines due to his knee injury, while fellow forward Francis Jeffers is unlikely to return due to ankle and groin injuries. However, Marcus Tudgay made his return from an abductor injury in last weekend's draw with Preston and is set to continue up front. Defender Richard Hinds is a long-term absentee with a broken leg that will keep him out for three months.
