Stevenage v Carlisle preview

Image: Darius Charles: Could return to the fold

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Stevenage and Carlisle United at Broadhall Way.

Stevenage are hoping to welcome back Darius Charles for the home clash with Carlisle. Versatile Charles, who has been playing as a striker this season, has missed the last three matches with the ankle injury he suffered against Everton in the Capital One Cup last month. Boss Graham Westley also hopes centre-half Peter Hartley will shake off the knock which forced him off during last Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Preston, otherwise Luke Jones will step in. But midfielder James Dunne, winger Lucas Akins and defender Ben Chorley are all still in the treatment room. Carlisle striker Lewis Guy hopes to shake off the effects of concussion in time to face Stevenage in caretaker-boss Graham Kavanagh's second game in charge. Guy, a free summer signing from St Mirren, was forced out of Carlisle's first win of the season against Sheffield United last week following a clash of heads, but is expected to be in contention. Kavanagh recalled Guy, defender Sean O'Hanlon and midfielder Liam Noble and all three are hoping to retain their places ahead of Conor Townsend, Danny Livesey and Brad Potts respectively. Left-back Reece James, on loan from Manchester United, could return to the squad following a thigh injury as Carlisle chase their first away win of the season.
