Image: Marlon King: Set to make debut

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Sheffield United and Preston North End at Bramall Lane.

The Blades could hand Marlon King a debut this weekend. Veteran striker King has joined until the end of the season and could be thrown straight into the toothless Blades attack as boss David Weir searches for a first win since their opening game of the season. Winger Jamie Murphy is still battling a groin injury and he will see a specialist in a bid to cure the problem which has kept him out since the end of August. The Blades are boosted by the return of Febian Brandy who has served a three-match ban. Unbeaten North End, meanwhile, will have the same squad to chose from as they chase a first win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in nearly 35 years. Preston have not beaten the Blades in the Steel City since November 1978, a remarkable winless run of 17 games, yet they seem well-placed to end that streak given the respective sides' starts to the season. Once again the only absentee from Simon Grayson's squad will be forward Jack King (foot) as the boss attempts to guide Preston to their first win over Sheffield United since he was in the primary school. Grayson has shown a penchant for tinkering with his starting XI this term and midfielder Lee Holmes will be among those hoping for a starting berth.
