Scunthorpe v Preston preview

Image: Mozika: Nursing an ankle injury

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League One clash between Scunthorpe and Preston North End at Glanford Park.

Damien Mozika is the only player unavailable to Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill. The Frenchman will not be fit to face Graham Westley's side but is on course to return to full training in a couple of weeks as he recovers from an ankle injury. Knill can welcome David Mirfin back into his side following suspension. Paul Reid and Michael Collins showed no ill-effects on their return to first-team action at the weekend, with Iron captain Reid not in the mood to give up his starting place. He told the club's official website: "I've sat out long enough. I've got the shirt at the moment. "I certainly don't want to be rested and giving up easily - I've waited long enough." Preston defender Bailey Wright is an injury doubt for the midweek encounter. Wright hobbled out of Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Sheffield United after sustaining a heavy blow to the leg. North End skipper John Mousinho could be ready to return in midfield following illness. Long-term injury victim Lee Holmes has resumed training from his badly-gashed knee but the former Southampton winger is thought to be a couple of weeks away from first-team action. Striker Lee Trundle (knee) remains on the sidelines. Westley paid tribute to Iron boss Alan Knill on the eve of the contest. He told the Lilywhites' official website: "I know Alan Knill well and he knows his football. He's an intelligent guy, who builds sides who wants to play in what people call 'the right way'. They want to pass the ball and work the ball and they have a lot of bright players."
