FA Cup finalists keen to continue strong league finish

Cardiff will hope to stretch their eight-game unbeaten run in the Championship when they visit relegated Scunthorpe on Saturday. Dave Jones has steered his side to four wins in their last eight games and the Bluebirds boss will be keen to continue with a strong finish to the season, despite their FA Cup final appearance looming large on the fixture list. Scunthorpe, though, will be eager to maintain their pride, despite already being condemned to an immediate return to League One. Midfielder Jack Cork could return to Scunthorpe's starting line-up as manager Nigel Adkins welcomes the teenager back from suspension. However, midfielder Jim Goodwin and Izzy Iriekpen are doubts as the latter is set to undergo a late fitness test with on-loan defender ready to step in if required.

Hasselbaink available

Jones has no new injury worries to contend with as he prepares his side for their trip to Glanford Park. Striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been struggling with a throat infection but he should be available after training all week. Fellow forward Robbie Fowler is still making progress in his recovery from a hip injury but will not be available. Jones is also still without Paul Parry and Warren Feeney, who are struggling to recover from leg muscle damage. Glenn Loovens will be hoping to be recalled alongside Roger Johnson in defence after he was left on the bench for last weekend's 3-1 win over Blackpool.
