Sampdoria extended their unbeaten run under Sinisa Mihajlovic to five games but had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Parma.

Sampdoria extended their unbeaten run under Sinisa Mihajlovic to five games but had to settle for only a point in a 1-1 draw with Parma. Eder gave the hosts the lead just before half time, but Alessandro Lucarelli equalised for Parma, who got on top in the second half, but failed to find a winner. The draw lifts Samp four points clear of the relegation zone with Parma remaining two points above the Genovese side. The plan was for Sampdoria's resurgence under Mihajlovic to continue, and the Blucerchiati expressed a positive game at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. Their first real effort on goal was a free-kick from Gianluca Sansone which was touched past the post by Antonio Mirante. Another Sansone free-kick missed the target as the chances started to multiply for the hosts, who took the lead just before the interval from another free-kick. It was not a direct free-kick this time, and it was taken down by Eder just inside the penalty area and his first touch of the ball made his second all the easier as he fired a low shot into the bottom left-hand corner to put Samp in front. Parma emerged for the second half with much more urgency and they levelled on the hour-mark through former Genoa defender Alessandro Lucarelli amid encouragement from team-mate Amauri, who could sense a second. He nearly scored it soon after but his effort from the edge of the penalty area cleared the bar. Parma enjoyed a good spell of pressure and had Samp on the back foot, although Eder nearly snatched a win on the break for the hosts, but Mirante denied him twice to secure the point.
