    Rotherham v Gillingham preview

Image: Taylor: Set to return for Millers

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Rotherham United and Gillingham at the Don Valley Stadium.

Rotherham pair Jason Taylor and Ryan Cresswell will return to contention for the home game with Gillingham. Midfielder Taylor and defender Cresswell were rested due to slight knocks for last Saturday's home draw with Barnet, but are both hoping to feature. Manager Andy Scott has no new injury or suspension problems but goalkeeper Jamie Annerson, defender John Mullins and midfielder Paul Warne remain sidelined with knee injuries. Leading goalscorer Adam Le Fondre is expected to spearhead the Millers' attack despite mounting speculation over his future after the club confirmed this week they have rejected bids from Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry. Rotherham dropped their first points of the season against Barnet last week and will be looking to get back to winning ways. Meanwhile Gillingham will again be without Chris Whelpdale for the trip to Rotherham. The midfielder has missed the last two games having been forced off nursing a calf injury in the first half of the 2-1 victory at Crewe earlier this month. He will again miss out at the Don Valley Stadium as third place travels to second in League Two, with both sides protecting unbeaten records after the opening four matches. Striker Stefan Payne and first-year professional Jack Evans are sidelined by illness, while striker Adam Birchall (knee) continues his lengthy rehabilitation process. Central defenders Simon King and Garry Richards have been made available for loan at their request, but both will still compete to be among Andy Hessenthaler's substitutes.
