Paris St Germain returned to the top of Ligue 1 with a fortunate 1-0 win over Lille at the Parc des Princes. Lille defender Aurelien Chedjou's second-half own goal earned Carlo Ancelotti's men their ninth win in 10 games and lifted them back above Lyon on goal difference. Referee Freddy Fautrel also controversially ruled out a first-half goal for the visitors, who were left languishing in mid-table. PSG dominated possession in the early stages with Lucas Moura impressing the home crowd. The young Brazilian teed up Ezequiel Lavezzi for a shot before he had Steeve Elana scrambling with a curling effort. As the hosts continued to press, Thiago Motta was booked for going down far too easily in the area. Lille finally sprung into life after half an hour and home goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu was called on to push away a vicious Dimitri Payet shot. Soon after the visitors thought they had the lead when Ronny Rodelin nodded a cross beyond Sirigu, but referee Fautrel ruled out the effort, judging Nolan Roux to be offside. That decision seemed to spur on PSG and Zlatan Ibrahimovic went close to opening the scoring, his right-footed effort beating Elana but coming back off a post. Both sides looked to attack at the start of the second half with Ibrahimovic heading a corner over, while at the other end Payet blazed a shot into the crowd. Lille continued to defend resolutely, with Marco Basa typifying their efforts by throwing himself in front of a Lavezzi effort after the Argentinian got on the end of a superb Jeremy Menez pass. But they were undone in the 67th minute when Chedjou turned Lavezzi's cross into his own net after Elana had fumbled. The visitors went close to an immediate reply when Rodelin did well on the right before pulling the ball back into the path of Payet, but his effort was superbly saved by Sirigu. They kept on pressing and Tulio De Melo's shot beat Sirigu only to come back off the left post as PSG rode their luck to claim victory.
