Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Preston and Charlton at Deepdale.

Veteran midfielder Graham Alexander is set to bring down the curtain on his playing career. Alexander, who has made 418 of his 1,022 professional appearances for Preston, was honoured with the PFA Merit award on Sunday evening in acknowledgement of his longevity. The 40-year-old has been sidelined since December with a hamstring injury, stepping up his coaching duties at Deepdale in the meantime before his playing contract expires this summer, but boss Graham Westley wants to give Alexander the opportunity to say farewell in the Lilywhites' final home game of the season. "To get an award and recognition from the PFA says everything about the way his fellow professionals regard him in the standards he has shown and the leadership he has given," Westley told North End's official website. "That is exactly the reason why I will do all I can to include him in the 16-man squad this weekend. "It will be the perfect way for us to finish off the season at home against the champions with Grezza involved in the 16, and the fans able to say a big thank you to him. If he came on and scored an 89th-minute penalty to send the fans home in raptures that would be even better." On-loan Arsenal youngster Rhys Murphy is pushing for selection in attack having scored four times in his last two reserve outings, as is Jamie Proctor with Iain Hume (foot) and Neil Mellor (knee) remaining on the sidelines with midfielder Barry Nicholson (hamstring). Danny Hollands returns to the Charlton squad. Hollands was an ever-present for the Addicks this season until he copped a three-match ban for his red card at Oldham earlier this month. Fellow midfielder Darel Russell will not be available, however, as he is on loan from Deepdale and ineligible to play. Manager Chris Powell is set to rotate his squad after they clinched the npower League One title last week, although he has ruled out throwing in some of the club's youngsters. Matthew Taylor could earn a recall in defence while Andy Hughes, Danny Haynes and Jason Euell will also hope to be involved. Charlton need to win one of their last two matches to hit the 100-point mark.
