Pompey missing Hughes; Sousa has selection headache

Four days after beating Portsmouth in the Carling Cup, Leicester are back at Fratton Park for their Championship match. The Foxes have stayed down in the South Coast area and have trained at Havant and Waterlooville's ground in preparation. Both teams are in the relegation zone and for Portsmouth it's a chance to claim their first league win of the season. Leicester overcame Pompey 2-1 in the third round on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Michael Morrison and Lloyd Dyer. The hosts are currently rock bottom of the Championship while the Foxes are only two places above them having won only one league game since Paulo Sousa's appointment as manager.

Pompey team news

Portsmouth will be without Richard Hughes for their rematch. The midfielder was sent off during the Carling Cup defeat by the Foxes and starts a two-match ban, ruling him out of the meeting between the sides as well as next week's visit of Bristol City. Michael Brown is likely to reclaim his place in the starting line-up in Hughes' absence, while defender Ricardo Rocha, who sat out on Tuesday with a knock, will be checked over. Strikers Dave Kitson and John Utaka dropped to the bench in midweek and will push for starts. Defender Hermann Hreidarsson (Achilles), frontman Danny Webber (cruciate) and youngsters Tom Kilbey (knee) and Billy Goddard (shin) are still on the sidelines.
Foxes team news
Leicester boss Sousa faces a welcome selection headache. The former Swansea manager made eight changes in midweek. Goalscorers Morrison and Dyer, along with midfielder Andy King, were the only survivors from the side that started the Championship defeat to QPR. Sousa must decide whether to make wholesale changes once more, or stick with the majority of the players that came in on Tuesday night. Winger Paul Gallagher could be one of few players to keep his place in the team, with the likes of Matt Oakley, Ritchie Wellens, Matty Fryatt and Martyn Waghorn strong contenders to return to the starting XI. Conrad Logan will hope to keep his place in goal, but Carl Ikeme is usually recalled following cup matches while Chris Weale is also back in the frame after a shoulder injury.
