Leyton Orient confirm that forward Robbie Simpson has signed a new contract until the end of the season.

Free agent Simpson initially joined the O's in November on a short-term basis and has since made three starts and eight substitute appearances. The 28-year-old former Oldham frontman has yet to find the net but manager Russell Slade has seen enough to want to keep him at Brisbane Road. And Simpson told the club website: "I'm very happy, I've enjoyed my time here, I've settled in and built a relationship with the players, staff and everyone around the club and I'm pleased to continue that. "I want to keep on getting sharper, I feel like I've been a bit sharper every time I've played and hopefully my luck will change in front of goal! "I know I need to start chipping in with goals now as well and the ultimate goal is promotion for the football club. "There's more to come from me. When I first came it was pretty clear that I wasn't match fit but I knew that would improve and it has, and now I feel my performances are up to a level nearer where they should be I just need goals now as at the end of the day that's what strikers are judged on."
