The latest news on Real Madrid targets and the rest of Spain, including Rafael Benitez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and David De Gea.

Real Madrid "expect" to sign David de Gea, despite Manchester United offering him a huge pay rise to stay at the club, according to Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

De Gea has been linked with a move away from Manchester United after an impressive season at Old Trafford and some bookmakers have suspended betting on the 24-year-old leaving Louis Van Gaal's side.

Balague said De Gea's agent Jorge Mendes is keen for the Spain international to move to Real Madrid, but said no decision had been finalised.

Real are eager to sign a new goalkeeper this summer, but want to keep Iker Casillas at the club even if they are successful in bringing in a new keeper.

"The latest is Real Madrid want him to come," said Balague. "His agent Jorge Mendes wants him to come to Real Madrid.

"They are going to try and convince him and Real Madrid have told Casillas 'please stay, keep your contract, which is two more years, but you should know that there is another goalkeeper coming and if we are to get our way it will be De Gea'.

"They will work as hard as they can to get De Gea and the expectation is he will become a Real Madrid player.

"But Manchester United have got a lot to say. They have put an offer on the table which is five times more than what he is earning at the moment, so he has got a decision to make."
