Cureton keen to boost Orient

Jamie Cureton says he is ready to help boost Leyton Orient's bid to climb away from the foot of the League One table.

The striker returned from a month out with a groin injury as a late substitute last week as the O's beat Preston 2-1 to finally register a first victory of the season. Cureton then scored against Tottenham for the reserves in midweek and is now pushing to be involved against Scunthorpe on Saturday. "The sharpness is getting back to where I want it to be, I just need games now. I'll keep working hard in training and hopefully that will lead to minutes on the pitch," he told Orient's official website. "We've got Scunthorpe, who are another team who have come down, and big things are expected of them. "But we've taken four points from our last two games and we'll be confident of going up there and getting a result."
