Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth was pleased with the way his players coped with the conditions after beating Hereford 2-0.

Both sides battled against a strong wind in the League Two clash at Edgar Street on Tuesday night but goals from Michael Rankine and substitute Peter Vincenti saw the Shots extend their unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions. "There has been a lot said about the amount of chances we have created and not putting the ball away, but the most important thing was that we did a professional job," said Holdsworth. "We got a very good goal and still created chances. The second half was then about being very professional. "There was a very strong wind out there and so it was about passing the ball in the right areas and playing a percentage game at times in the second half."
