Buckle hails Pirates' desire

Paul Buckle praised the spirit of his Bristol Rovers team after Chris Zebroski earned a 1-0 home victory over Shrewsbury.

The Rovers boss felt his side had been robbed of victory by a debatable injury-time penalty at Bradford on Saturday and pointed to more misfortune in this game. "We lost Lee Brown and Matt Gill with injuries, while Stuart Campbell was sick at half-time," said Buckle. "A lot of things are going against us at the moment and the players showed great commitment and desire to beat a very good side. "We had to dig in at the end, but overall we restricted them to very few chances. It was a huge victory for us. "When we get all our players fit and perhaps bring in one or two more we will be a real force."
