Tisdale pleased with point

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale was happy with his side after they battled out a 1-1 draw with Notts County at St James Park.

The City boss saw his side go in front on eight minutes when Alan Sheehan put through his own goal, but it was cancelled out eight minutes later when Ben Burgess capitalised on some shoddy Exeter defending to slot home. "It wasn't the greatest game I have ever seen at the Park. Neither goalkeeper was troubled too much," said Tisdale. "Am I happy with a point? Yes, based on how we played and how we are having to play. "I think, had you offered me a draw at half-time, I would have taken it. I am not a negative chap, but I would have taken it. "We rallied at the end. The last 20 minutes was probably our most effective and in the first 15 minutes, we looked quite lively. "I thought we could have scored at the end, but we both had chances. I think, with ours, both Rowan [Vine] and Jimmy [Keohane] were a little surprised to have had the chances they had."
