Owner Eddie Mitchell took to the pitch to confront angry fans after Bournemouth's 3-0 home loss against Chesterfield in League One on Saturday.
The Cherries chairman had been abused all game by supporters upset the club have sold all bar three of the side that reached last season's League One play-off semi-final. Mitchell stood on the Dean Court playing surface to address the group post-match. The club is now in deep relegation strife, having lost their last five games, after goals from Alex Mendy, Craig Westcarr and Leon Clarke gave Chesterfield the points.
