Quality counts for Yates

Two moments of quality earned Cheltenham the points as they put a disappointing Macclesfield side to the sword.

That was the message from Robins boss Mark Yates who admitted his side had also put in a scrappy display in Saturday's 2-0 win at Whaddon Road in League Two. "We huffed and puffed and in the second half we didn't get going," the Robins manager explained. "But we found a couple of moments of quality to win the game. "It was a scrappy one and on the back of last week's scrappy one, which we lost 1-0, the positives are the clean sheet and the win. We aren't happy we didn't play well, but we are happy with the result. "In the second half we talked about getting after them and starting on the front foot, but it didn't happen. We have a big week now and have to improve the performances."
