Clayton Donaldson has assured Brentford fans he is on course to replicate his 28-goal haul from last season.
The striker was top scorer in npower League Two for Crewe last year and that honour secured him a summer move to Griffin Park.
He has only scored twice so far this year, but insisted he is not deterred by moving up a division.
He told the Hounslow Chronicle: "There's not really a gulf. The main thing is that I'm making chances and the service is great. I only scored two in my first 10 games last season, so I'm on track.
"I do tend to get more goals as the season goes on once I've got my feet right and to be honest when you're playing with better players I will get more chances."
