Adams: Wombles robbed us

Manager Micky Adams says Port Vale were "mugged" as AFC Wimbledon snatched a 3-2 win to record their first league home victory.

Sam Morsy's equaliser with six minutes remaining looked like earning Vale a 2-2 draw until Christian Jolley struck deep into injury-time to send Kingsmeadow wild. "I can't quite believe that we've lost the game," said Adams. "I think that the amount of chances we have created and not taken is quite criminal, in the first half especially. "We carved out numerous opportunities - some I can't really believe we've missed. They've had a bit of luck, so to come in at half-time 1-0 down is very disappointing. "The game should have been finished at half-time. I felt we had been a little bit mugged but we responded and got back into the game. "We're devastated, but that's football. I think Wimbledon will feel slightly fortunate but good luck to them. Let's hope it evens itself out over the season."
