Striker Stuart Fleetwood has completed a surprise late deadline-day switch from Hereford to non-league Luton for an undisclosed fee.

The forward steps down into the Blue Square Bet Premier after just one season at Hereford in which he finished as the League Two club's leading scorer with 18 goals in all competitions, including the vital equaliser at Bradford on the penultimate weekend to seal their Football League survival. Fleetwood had featured in all eight of the Bulls' fixtures so far this term, starting the opening six matches. Chairman David Keyte told United's official website: "Stuart had a fantastic season last season, he worked tirelessly for the team and was instrumental in helping the Bulls retain their Football League status. "Albeit a step down for Stuart, his gives him a new challenge and everyone at Hereford United wishes him every success for the future."0081c Meanwhile, young midfielder Tyler Weir has extended his loan spell at Gloucester City until January.
