Crewe are set to invite defender Richard Hinds on trial after a good reserve game effort against Notts County on Monday.
The 31-year-old has made over 250 league appearances and is currently a free agent after having been released by Sheffield Wednesday in the summer. Gradi told the club's official website: "We will invite him to come in and we hope there is no reason why he won't. "He is an experienced defender who has been around a bit. "He was fine (on Monday), was mobile and energetic and had some personality and was talking a lot out on the pitch. "We will see if he wants to come in and train with us and we will see where it goes."
