Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler has confirmed there have been developments regarding Simeon Jackson's future as the striker closes on a move to Norwich City.
Skysports.com revealed on Tuesday that Jackson is edging nearer to a transfer to Carrow Road following Gills' relegation from League One.
Several offers for the Canada international have already been rejected, but Gillingham now appear to have received a suitable bid for the forward.
Jackson was left out of Tuesday's friendly against Dartford and Hessenthaler confirmed the player is close to finalising a move away from the club.
Hessenthaler told Kent News: "Everyone's not stupid, we all know Simeon's not here [at Dartford] and not played because there's been a development.
"I can't say any more than that, other than it looks like he's going to go, but until it's confirmed he's still our player.
"There will be confirmation by the end of the week or maybe before."
