Midfielder hopes for Italy return

Unsettled Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati insists he will quit Parkhead this summer. Donati has dropped off the radar at Celtic after falling out of favour with Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan. The 28-year-old came close to a move to Atalanta during the January transfer window only for the transfer to fall through. Palermo have joined the chase for Donati and the former AC Milan man is confident he will return home at the end of the season. "I really would like to get home this time," Donati told the Daily Record. "There were talks in January but unfortunately things didn't work out. Hopefully, this time we'll find a solution for the sake of my career and my family. "Atalanta would be perfect for me. It's my second home, my second family and I have only good memories of my time there. Palermo are a great club too, so why not?" Despite his unhappy time in Glasgow, Donati admits he would recommend a switch to Scotland to anyone. "I'd tell anyone to come and play here if they get the chance," added Donati. "Glasgow people live football, like nowhere else I've ever been."
