Striker will be allowed to leave Atalanta in summer

Atalanta have confirmed striker Sergio Floccari could be sold in the summer, with West Ham United credited with an interest in the player. Floccari has impressed since signing for Atalanta from Messina in 2007 and has netted 12 goals in 27 games in Serie A this season. A report in Friday's press suggests the Hammers are keen on the Italian, while Newcastle, Juventus, Roma, Villarreal, Wolfsburg and Zenit St Petersburg are all also mentioned. Atalanta sporting director Carlo Osti said in the Daily Mirror: "Sergio has now reached his full potential as a footballer in this league. "We have an agreement with the player and his agent that he will be sold at the end of the season if someone is interested." West Ham have yet to confirm or deny the rumours suggesting they are keen on 27-year-old Floccari.
