Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark has expressed his delight at winning the race to capture striker Kallum Higginbotham's signature.
The 22-year-old made the switch to the Terriers on transfer deadline day after Clark completed the deal with Scottish side Falkirk.
Scottish Premier League giants Rangers and Celtic both registered interest in Higginbotham, while Championship sides Ipswich and Crystal Palace also opened negotiations with the sought-after striker.
However, the Rochdale-born frontman opted for a move to the Galpharm Stadium and the Terriers manager was overjoyed at securing Higginbotham's services.

"Kallum also had a couple of the big Scottish clubs watching him, and one or two Championship clubs had shown an interest, so we knew we had to move quickly," he said.
"He was a Bosman at the end of the season, but we wanted to make the move and we are absolutely delighted to have done the deal."
Higginbotham made his Terriers bow on Saturday as Huddersfield drew 1-1 with MK Dons and Clark was impressed with his latest acquisition's performance.

"Kallum is very adept at playing the role just between the midfield and the strikers and he is very good at getting into the little gaps to receive the ball," said Clark.
"He is quick and he likes to take players on and I think he will be a good foil for the strikers we have at the club.
Despite Higginbotham's signing, Clark has insisted there will still be competition for starting places with the striker not guaranteed a berth every week.
"He hasn't got the shirt ahead of Lee Novak or Alan Lee," he added. "They will have opportunities to get back into the side, it is horses for courses."
