Buddies keeper faces three weeks on sidelines

St Mirren goalkeeper Paul Gallacher will be out for a further three weeks after undergoing knee surgery. The 31-year-old shot-stopper has missed his side's last two SPL games after initial scans failed to pick up the injury. Gallacher has now had an operation on the problematic cartilage and manager Danny Lennon admits he is frustrated to lose his first-choice keeper. He said in the Daily Record: "Paul had a tidy-up op so he will be out for two to three weeks. "The annoying thing is if the scan had picked it up straight away he'd be on his way back by now so that's frustrating. "It's a blow to lose Paul but at least we have got to the bottom of the problem he is now on the mend and is making good progress. "But Craig Samson has come in and acquitted himself very well."
