Striker Danny Crow has left Newport after two-and-a-half seasons at the League Two outfit.

The striker has been allowed to depart in search of first-team football and to progress with his coaching ambitions. "I would like to thank everyone associated with Newport County AFC for a great two-and-a-half years at this great club," he told the club's official website. "When I joined Newport I always believed this club was going places, one of my biggest achievements of my career was getting promoted and I am proud to have played my part in a successful season. "Although personally I didn't achieve anywhere near what I wanted, as a team I achieved my ambitions of getting Newport County into the league." Manager Justin Edinburgh added: "Danny has been a great servant to this football club, he has played a big part in some big games "Unfortunately injury struck for Danny at the wrong time but his professionalism and commitment to get back is something that should be admired."
