Newport have confirmed that seven players have signed new deals to stay at Rodney Parade next season.
The Exiles confirmed that the contracts offered to Lenny Pidgeley, Ismail Yakubu, Max Porter, Andy Sandell, Lee Minshull, Danny Crow and top scorer Chris Zebroski have been accepted, meaning the spine of their team is staying at the club.
The seven made over 150 League Two starts between them last season with Zebroski scoring 13 times and Pidgeley cementing his place as their number one goalkeeper.
Negotiations with Byron Anthony, who missed the majority of the season with a broken leg he suffered in August, and experienced Welshman Mike Flynn are ongoing and Newport say a verdict is 'expected by the end of the week'.
Justin Edinburgh's men return to pre-season training on June 30 and they are confident a few new faces will be added to their squad by then.
