Derby told to make a decision on Stags defender
Mansfield manager Paul Cox wants Tom Naylor's future resolved as quickly as possible following the defender's recent trial at Derby.
The 20-year-old, who has also attracted the interest of an unnamed Premier League club, spent last week training with the Rams and featured for Nigel Clough's side in a reserve game.
Naylor was back in the non-league side's squad for the 5-0 victory over Newport on Saturday and Cox believes continued uncertainty would not benefit any party involved.
"I don't want league clubs messing us around. They have to make a decision on him," Cox said.
"If they didn't want to make a decision we'll close the door because I don't want Tom's head being kept turned.
"You want his sights set on us if he is stopping with us, or if he is going to get a move, you want that done quickly. It's not good for both parties if he is being messed around."
