Barnet have agreed a deal to sign Mark Byrne on a two-year contract following a successful loan spell.

The 22-year-old, who was on loan at Underhill last season from Nottingham Forest but had his temporary spell cut short by injury, underwent a medical on Friday. "There has been interest from elsewhere but I am more than pleased, having been with the Bees last season, to make Barnet my choice and stay with the lads," Byrne told the club's official website. "The form we showed at the back end of last season and the arrival of Lawrie Sanchez to work with Giuliano Grazioli makes me think we can do much better this time."
