AFC Wimbledon have made their first signing since securing promotion to the Football League by snapping up former Barnet midfielder Max Porter.
The 23-year-old spent two seasons in League Two with Barnet before moving on to Rushden & Diamonds in 2009.
Porter is now back in the Football League after Wimbledon boss Terry Brown made his first foray into the transfer market.
Brown told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have signed Max.
"We know a lot about him as we have been watching him for some time and nearly signed him a couple of years ago.
"Max is an England C international and captain who has also played over 50 games in the Football League with Barnet.
"He will bring a bit of bite into midfield where we are now very strong, with lots of competition for places."
