Buckle happy to sign striker on permanent basis

Torquay United have finalised a permanent deal to bring in striker Chris Zebroski from Wycombe Wanderers. Zebroski has been on loan at Plainmoor since November and has scored four goals in seven appearances for the League Two club. He agreed a permanent move to the Gulls before Christmas for a reported fee of £25,000 and manager Paul Buckle is happy to have now wrapped up the deal. Buckle said: "I am delighted that Zebs is now our player full time. "We want players that can step up and play at this level and, believe me, Zebs is a very, very good League Two player." Zebroski immediately comes back into the reckoning for Saturday's home league game against promotion chasing Dagenham at Plainmoor after being cup-tied for the 1-0 FA Cup third-round knockout by Brighton. United central defender Chris Todd's loan spell at Salisbury City has come to an end and striker Ben Joyce's loan spell at Forest Green Rovers is also over.
