Striker to try again at Meadow Lane

Notts Couty have signed Danny Crow on a two month loan deal from League Two rivals Peterborough. The move represents the striker's second spell at Meadow Lane this season having previously joined the Magpies on a month-long loan in October. Unfortunately, Crow broke a metatarsal in his right foot less than an hour into his debut last time around and was forced to return to London Road without having an opportunity to prove himself to the County supporters.

Potential

A proven goalscorer at this level, Crow made four Premier League appearances for Norwich City in 2005 after coming through the youth set up at Carrow Road. He will be hoping to use his time with Ian McParland's side to help get his career back on track and potentially secure a permanent move to the Magpies having fallen well down the pecking order at the Posh. County's assistant manager Dave Kevan certainly feels that the striker has the potential to be a big hit in Nottingham.
Finisher
"The gaffer and I were not at Meadow Lane when Danny had his first spell here, but he obviously made a good impression during that short spell and is now back to full fitness," Kevan told the club's official website. "He's a good finisher and he sees this as an opportunity to kick-start his career after he fell out of favour at Peterborough and then picked up the injury. "It's a move that could give him a new lease of life, and we certainly hope it does and the move is successful for both parties."
