Pesch lauds striking trio

Manager Paul Peschisolido has sung the praises of the strikers who have fired Burton into a League Two play-off spot.

Albion moved into fifth place with a thrilling 3-2 victory away at Hereford last weekend, when Calvin Zola scored his seventh goal of the season and Billy Kee netted his ninth in as many starts. Zola and Kee are continuing where Justin Richards, with 10 goals in 15 starts, left off before suffering a back injury in mid-October. Peschisolido believes such scoring power is the big difference between a promising campaign and last season's relegation struggle. Burton scored just 56 times last term but they have already netted 29 goals this season with just 18 games played. "I've always thought this division to be much of a muchness, and if you've got players who can score goals on a regular basis you've got a chance of winning every game you play," Peschisolido said. "Obviously there are days where things don't quite work out, but happily for us those days have been few and far between this season. We're not that much different squad-wise from last season but we're scoring a lot more goals and that's made a huge difference in terms of the points we've picked up."
