Shakers looking to retain squad players

Bury have offered Richie Baker, Danny Racchi and Cameron Belford new contracts, while Ben Futcher will be staying for another season. The trio were all out of contract in the summer, although the Shakers are hopeful of keeping their squad players at Gigg Lane for next term. All of Racchi's league appearances came from the bench, Baker made six league starts while back-up keeper Belford played second fiddle to Wayne Brown all season. Bury have activated a clause in Futcher's contract meaning his deal has been extended for 12 months, although Steven Haslam, Glynn Hurst and Paul Morgan have all been released. Just two of the club's second year scholars David Thompson and Josh Rothwell have been offered professional contracts. All of their remaining scholars have departed.
