Defender keen to pen new deal

Lincoln's Lee Beevers insist he is happy at Sincil Bank as contract talks near a conclusion. The 25-year-old is one of three players out of contract with the League Two side in the summer, along with Adrian Patulea and Dany N'Guessan. Boss Peter Jackson has stressed his desire to keep Beevers at the club after a string of impressive performances this term. Contract terms are already being negotiated according to the Wales defender, who admits he is letting his agent deal with the process.

Talks

"We've opened talks with the club and it's ongoing at the moment," Beevers told the Lincolnshire Echo. "I'm just leaving it to my agent and the club to sort something out. "I'm happy to stay. Everyone knows I like it at Lincoln and I feel I'm playing well at the minute. I'm very happy with things." Jackson admits he is hopeful of finalising new contracts for all three players in the near future.
Hopeful
"We're talking with the players (N'Guessan, Beevers and Patulea) and have made them offers," said Jackson. "We're just waiting for them to get back to us. Hopefully there will be more news this week."
