Keeper sent to Woking

Millwall keeper Lenny Pidgeley is set to join Blue Square Premier outfit Woking on a one-month loan deal. The 24-year-old has slipped well down the pecking order at the New Den and has not featured for the Lions since 19th January. However, he is expected to go straight into Woking's squad for their home game with Forest Green on Saturday. Pidgeley did spend a brief period on trial at SPL side Motherwell earlier in the summer, but failed to earn a deal at Fir Park.

His fall from grace has been remarkable, as he was snapped up by Premier League giants Chelsea as a promising teenager. Having failed to make the grade at Stamford Bridge, a loan spell at Millwall eventually became a permanent switch in 2006. But after initially making the No.1 jersey his own he has struggled to hold down a regular spot with the Lions. He has so far failed to fulfil the potential which earned him an England U21 call-up during his early years, but he will be keen to get his career back on track at Kingfield Stadium.
