Rovers plan deals to keep loan stars at Memorial

Paul Trollope has confirmed Bristol Rovers are in talks with Paul Heffernan and Daniel Jones about bringing the pair back to the club. The duo, who have been released by Doncaster and Wolves respectively, were on loan at the Memorial Stadium last season and both impressed in their time with the club. Irish forward Heffernan netted four goals in 11 league outings for the Pirates while defender Jones made 17 appearances for the League One side. "We identified, a long time ago, some targets and we are currently in discussions with a number of players," Trollope told the club's official website. "Two of those players, Paul Heffernan and Daniel Jones, were both with us on loan last season and both made a good impression in their time with us. "Having worked closely with them both, I know they are players that we would like to bring back to the football club. Discussions with both are ongoing, and we are hopeful of getting both of them back to the Memorial Stadium." The Rovers boss is also still hopeful of bringing Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen and Fulham midfielder Wayne Brown back to the club over the summer following their successful loan stints in the 2009-10 campaign.
