On-loan striker focusing on events on the pitch amid uncertain future

Paul Heffernan is keeping an open mind about his long-term future after agreeing to stay at Bristol Rovers until the end of the season. The striker has extended an initial one-month loan deal from Doncaster until 8th May as the Pirates push for promotion from League One. The 28-year-old, who has scored two goals in six appearances for the Pirates, admits he does not know where his future lies and he is simply focusing on events on the pitch. Heffernan told the Bristol Evening Post: "I've enjoyed it down here and got on well with everyone at the club, so it was an easy decision to make. "If a longer-term deal is spoken about we'll see how it goes, but at the moment I'm just concentrating on the rest of the season. "I've not spoken to Doncaster about what might happen with them, although I wouldn't think there would be anything for me, though to be honest, I don't have a clue."
