Veteran defender Thomas Kleine has signed a new contract at Bundesliga strugglers Greuther Furth.
The 35-year-old is now tied to the club until the summer of 2014.
Kleine is currently taking in a second spell at Greuther, having rejoined the club in 2010 from Borussia Monchengladbach.
He has been unable to steer them clear of trouble this season, with an immediate return to the second tier on the cards.
Kleine is, however, happy to commit his future to a side that have ambitions to bounce back stronger.
He told Greuther's official website: "I am at home here and it's great to be part of the club now and for the future.
"The club and I share the same ambitions and we are up to the challenge. I believe I can help the team out this year and again next season."
Greuther boss Frank Kramer added: "Thomas is an experienced defender and an important advisor of our young players.
"He has always been a loyal servant and it is good to know that he will stay on and be around next year."
