Goalkeeper Scott Davies has returned to Morecambe on a one-month loan deal from Fleetwood.
The Shrimps have been forced into the loan market due to an injury to stoppers Barry Roche and Andreas Arestidou, and they have acquired Davies, who is back-up to Chris Maxwell at Highbury. Davies, 27, made his professional debut for Morecambe and helped the club enter the Football League in 2007 when they beat Exeter, who they are due to meet again this Sunday, in the play-off final. "Barry has been suffering from a hip injury and had a scan this week, he was advised to rest it for a few weeks and we hope that will see him get back to full fitness," boss Jim Bentley confirmed on Morecambe's official website. "Andreas has been missing for a couple of weeks with a stomach injury so we need some cover and Scott fits the bill perfectly. "He knows the club well and has good experience at this level too with Fleetwood."
