Former Ghana international striker Derek Asamoah is training with Carlisle with the hope of earning a deal.
Asamoah, who played under Blues boss Keith Curle at Mansfield and Chester, is to spend this week with the League Two club and the 33-year-old could feature in a friendly match for the Cumbrians. "Whether you could call it a trial I don't know - he's doing some conditioning work to get himself in a position where he could play a couple of games," Curle told the News & Star. "We were thinking about an in-house game, but I don't like them. I like a little bit more competitive edge."
